Through my compositions and performances I hope to share my passion for music with you. As far as we can look back in history – and regardless of prevailing ideologies, fashions and varying degrees of support for the arts -, music has always been there! It is an integral aspect of humanity, helping us connect, sharpen our minds and celebrate.
In my experience, musical boundaries are overrated. While I have found my home in jazz because of its addictive, forward-looking energy and encouragement of self-expression, I find inspiration in many other so-called “genres”, including Eastern-European folk music, French impressionism, West African tribal music… The list goes on. What really matters is for music to come from a place of sincerity and commitment.
Hope you enjoy the music,
Christian
